Another year, Another Birthday

24 years ago I made an appearance on a very cold Iowa morning. Luckily, 24 years later I got to spend my bday in the incredible weather Phoenix has to offer. I took the day off from school (except for a quick trip to open lab) and Mike and I got some paperwork and errands done. In the morning we went out for a birthday breakfast. :) Check out my stuffed french toast. It was a cake!


It was way too much sugar. I barely made a dent. Bless our favorite waitress because she didn't charge us for it!

We also had a nice late lunch at Rula Bula. Its a really good Irish restaurant with a good happy hour menu. Thank you Farhan for picking up the tab!

We stopped by the in-laws to let them listen to the heartbeat that Mike had recorded on his phone. He shares it with everyone, that proud papa!

This is the first time one of my parents hasn't been here on my birthday. The flowers they sent (albiet gorgeous!) are no replacement but we are all saving up vacation time for our Golden Nugget!
