Hello, January.

January is flying by as we hit the ground running since we landed home (at least it seems that way!).

Jan 7: we celebrated Mike’s younger brother’s b-day at Yardhouse. Brenna and baby Emma were great and we had such a good time with D and A.

Jan 9: Happy Birthday, Dan! I started my 2nd clinical rotation doing pediatric home care. My brain hurts at the end of the day. Not to mention the hours of paperwork. But so far so good! AND we got rid of our couch! Brenna likes running from 1 end of the living room to the other.

Jan 13: Friday the 13th, our little munchkin hit 17 months. She’s become a little mama who won’t leave the house without her handbag and her baby doll. If she gets fed, baby dolls needs to be fed too. If her diaper needs changed, baby doll needs a clean diaper first. We’re pretty sure she started saying “Hi, Kitty”. “Bye” has come out. Mike is “Dada”. It’s still not clear if “Mama” means Mommy or “I’m hungry”. Still working on that. If you ask her to go get your shoes, she’ll pull the correct shoes off the shelf and then try to put them on your feet! We’ve got a smart cookie!

He’s still working on the work bench. Brenna is now copying everything we do. Mike was sanding so Brenna wanted to sand! So Mike put her to work.

Of course. We all know who the real boss is!

Today we took a little walk to downtown.
